WANTED – CAN YOU HELP?

We’re looking for a University graduate, undergraduate or A level student with interest in marine biology for a few afternoons next month (July).

SOSJ are conducting the final part of a long term study into heavy metals in shellfish on the south east coast.

We need some help for a few days collecting specific samples and collating them for testing; it will comprise:

++ Three low water trips to three sites in the Ramsar Area over three afternoons

++ Sampling and reporting (minimal paperwork!)

It will be a great opportunity to add to your CV / or even be the basis of your thesis.

The initial samples were taken by a Portsmouth University undergraduate in 2009. We will be completing this testing this year nine years later to see how things have changed over time.

It will be a great opportunity to be involved with our work. As we are self-funded, we can’t offer you payment (except for any expenses you incur), but it will be an enjoyable task and you’ll be helping a good cause.

Please respond in the first instance to Jacqui Carrel, SOSJ’s environmental scientist, here on Facebook Messenger or by email to jc@sosjersey.co.uk.

Can’t do this, but know someone who may be interested? Please let them know!
