Yesterday, SOS Jersey looked at the proposed plans for a new boardwalk around La Folie. Currently, unless you are in a car, nimble on your feet, or a confident cyclist, it’s a dodgy area to negotiate.

Now we have more heavy vehicles heading to La Collette, the situation is even worse, so the Department of Infrastructure (formerly TTS) are putting forward proposals to construct two lengths of boardwalk by the French and English harbours, meaning there will be a continuous path around the area.
DoI are carrying out and environmental impact assessment which will include consideration of local flora and fauna, and are talking with the Ports of Jersey who own the land.
DoI are holding a drop-in session where they would like to hear your views and questions on the plan, so pop along if you can:
Where: Top of French Harbour Slipway
When: Wednesday 1st March 2017
Time: 16:00-18:00
They add: We hope you will be able to drop in sometime during the session to learn about the problems and proposals and provide us with feedback. If you are unable to make it, the information will be on gov.je after the drop-in session for feedback for the rest of that week.
