Why we are auctioning these great pictures
The paintings have been kindly donated by an anonymous well-wisher and supporter of SOS Jersey, someone who knows that we have been raising funds for a) a baseline study of heavy metals in shellfish collected in the south east coast Ramsar Area, b) a feasibility study looking at using Jersey native oysters to help bring down sea lettuce levels blighting St Aubin’s Bay, and c) various other coastline projects.
The subject matter of the pictures is therefore very appropriate, as we are sure you will agree when you see them all.
Ready for Christmas!
We have four of these paintings and will offer them for auction between now and Christmas and 11.59pm on 20th December 2015, and the highest bidders on each item will receive them in good time for Christmas.
These original watercolours will make unique and brilliant Christmas gifts for someone special and also be a lasting investment.
The four watercolours (all approx 2cm x 15cm mounted on ivory board 26 x 24 cm) are as follows:
1: Half Built Tower and Rowing Boat
2: Seahorse and Bass
3: Shellfish in Moonlight
4: Blue Crab and Shrimps
Please note, there is a £150 reserve on each picture.
