This morning saw SOS Jersey down at the Esplanade, and our own Dave Cabeldu was interviewed by the Jersey Evening Post, Channel 103, Radio Jersey and Channel TV. Here are some pictures and our comments about the JEP article.

The JEP say that the JDC are within their rights to get on with the development as it is a States’ decision; we contest that is not the case:
The States voted in 2008 (P111) for a Masterplan with mixed development by 40/1 with benefits for the public.
The plans have changed and the masterplan has not gone back to the States as agreed it would do if the plans changed (they have: twice!) so, in our view, it is ‘constitutionally illegal’ at the very least democratic.’
Planning have today issued a statement saying that the JDC were with their rights to clear the tees now under the permission given.
Again that depends on how one interprets their right to do anything until the parking obligations passed with Building 4 have been confirmed and also the pre-lets have been signed as promised would happen many times by the Chief Minister.’
