The St Helier Waterfront Action Group have submitted an application for a Judicial Review in a bid to overturn the planning permission granted for Building 5 in the International Centre.

 
The whole project has been mired in controversy, not least because of the flagrant disregard for a number of planning rules – ones that Joe Public would most certainly not get away with.
The Waterfront Action Group add, ‘The decision of the Planning Application Committee to approve the second application for building 5 at the Jersey International Finance Centre goes against all natural justice and makes a mockery of the planning appeals system. We are amazed that a publically owned company (SoJDC) could be allowed to circumvent the planning process in this manner. It is something that sets a dangerous precedent and could be easily copied by others in the private sector.’
